The Journey Begins: Everyday Shamanism for Beginners
Come and meet your helping spirits and power animals! In this daylong workshop you will be introduced to the ancient healing practice of shamanism. You will gain understanding of some basic, essential shamanic concepts and then experience the visionary shamanic journey for yourself. We will explore the worlds of the shamanic journey, and gain insight, wisdom and help from compassionate helping spirits and power animals. You will leave this class understanding how to apply your new knowledge to make your daily life happier and fuller. This class’ size is limited to 7 students, with a minimum of 4 students. Class will be cancelled and your tuition returned to you (minus Paypal fees) if fewer than 4 students register. This class requires that you pre-register. Journey and Drumming Circle
2nd Monday of every month, 7:30-9:30 PM, in Long Island, NY
Join our shamanic circle the second Monday of every month, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM in Long Island, NY. The circle is for people who have experienced the shamanic journey; please check the class below, Everyday Shamanism for Beginners, if you need to learn to journey before joining our circle. Those who can afford to make a donation to maintain the costs of providing the circle will have an opportunity to do so.
Our circle meets to share sacred space with one another, to drum, rattle and journey together, and to be in a circle of trusted people with whom we can share the stories of our journeys and our lives. Please contact Denise to claim your spot in the circle.
Reiki 1 and 2, with Shamanic Integration
During this 2 day intensive, you will be introduced to the teachings and experiences that will become the core of your Reiki practice. During the weekend you will experience the Reiki attunements that will open the doors to Reiki for you, and learn about the nature of Reiki through teachings, dialogue, and hands-on practice. At the end of each day, an optional experience integrating your new Reiki skills with a shamanic practice will be offered. (Prerequisite: advanced journey skills or enrollment in Everyday Shamanism for Beginners or Deepening your Shamanic Practice.)

- Hand positions and your first hands-on Reiki session

- Cleaning your energy field
- Optional for experienced shamanic journeyers: Shamanic Integration of Reiki 1 attunement
Day 2: Reiki 2
- The nature of the Reiki symbols
- How to use Reiki symbols
- Reiki 2 attunement
- Sending Reiki for distance healing
- Using the eyes and breath for giving Reiki
- Practicum: Reiki treatments using the Reiki symbols
- Space clearing using Reiki
- Optional for experienced shamanic journeyers: shamanic integration of Reiki 2 attunement
